I've never been a character in a novel before, so when I heard about a book featuring a character named "Dave Strauss" I just had to read it. I didn't expect much, but I was delightfully surprised. Good, fast-paced writing, with just the right amount of suspense and twists to the plot. The ending was maybe just a little contrived but not too much so. I'm thinking there should be a movie deal for this one, with, let's see, a young Harrison Ford type playing the role of Dave Strauss. I'd be happy to consult on the script!
BTW, I was happy that Dave's wife wasn't named Liz; that would have been way too freaky.

Nice to meet you, Dave Strauss! I'm glad you dropped by to say hi. A teacher in my son's school is named Dan Strauss, and I thought that was pretty good, but this is even better! (And thanks for your kind words about the book....)
